The Second Child

The Second Child is an upscale children’s and maternity consignment boutique in Lincoln Park, carrying clothing and shoes, toys, books, accessories and equipment. In business for 35 years, owner Amy Helgren donates clothing that isn’t purchased locally to safe houses, shelters, churches and organizations including Cradles to Crayons.

Wild Oats Kids

This husband-and-wife run shop has a simple mission — allow families to sell high quality kid’s items they no longer need to fund the items they do. Wild Oats carries new and gently-used kid’s items like shoes, clothes, furniture, toys, strollers, baby items and anything else for children up to age 10. The shop also offers various pop-up story times and musical performances.

The Velveteen Rabbit Chicago

A business born out of the pandemic, this pop-up shop turned brick and mortar location stocks everything from diaper bags and sleep sacks to rain boots, pajamas and swimwear for kids up to age 10. Make sure to follow their Instagram for the latest and greatest and highly anticipated product drops every Thursday at 8 p.m.
