Green City Market
When: Through April 25; 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of the month
Where: Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, 2430 N. Cannon Dr., Chicago
What you can find: Fresh produce, meat, cheese, flowers, herbs and bread, plus cooking classes and live demonstrations.
Green City is conveniently located at a place Chicago families already love: the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Lincoln Park. Spend a couple hours getting your kids’ wiggles out at the museum, then hit up the market for all of your produce needs. Bonus: Green City is truly “green” in its practices — the market promotes sustainable agriculture and supports family farms.
Logan Square Farmers Market
When: Through March 31; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday

What you can find: Farm fresh eggs, meats, tofu, bread and produce, plus food vendors offering everything from fresh hummus to ginger beer.
A farmers market in a bar? You bet! Despite the untraditional venue, kids are still welcome at the Logan Square Market, as long as they’re accompanied by an adult over 21. And what kid wouldn’t love a market that sells pints of frozen yogurt and ice cream? The market still has plenty to offer health-conscious folks, too, like vegan cheese, meat and gluten-free items.
Evanston Indoor Farmers Market
When: Through April 25; 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday
Where: Evanston Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd, Evanston
What you can find: Produce, frozen prepared meals, teas and baked goods.
The Evanston Market features plenty of the produce items you would normally expect, but it’s also an unexpected foodie paradise. Cupcakes, fresh croissants, chai tea, tamales and pure maple syrup can all be found on a typical Saturday. Geneva Green Market

What you can find: Typical market fare like potatoes and micro-greens, along with small business vendors selling salsas, local honey, bath products and baked goods.

This South Side farmers market moves indoors in the colder seasons to continue provide healthy food options for families. You can also find other items including freshly baked bread, gluten-free/vegan bakery treats and hand-crafted tea blends.
Wicker Park Farmers Market
When: Through April 4, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. first Saturday of every month
Where: The Robey Hall, 2022 W. North Ave., Chicago
What you can find: Fruits, vegetables, honey, cheeses and street food
The Indoor Wicker Park Farmers Market is back for its second season. Explore the vendors through Robey Hall while enjoying purchased drinks from the bar including mimosas, bloody marys, coffee and more. This season, the market is going plastic free, so please bring your own bags and containers when visiting.
