4 Holiday Teas to Go in Chicagoland

Local businesses are making a few adjustments to their holiday teas this year to provide a safe and delicious experience at home for families. Here are a few places offering to-go afternoon teas with some including holiday-themed treats. 

The Langham Chicago

When: Dec. 12 & 19

Where: 330 North Wabash Ave., Chicago

Cost: $65 per person

This year, The Langham will give families the chance to pick up their afternoon tea set and enjoy the tea home. In this package, you’ll enjoy tea blends, pastries, small sandwiches and a few seasonal treats.

The Peninsula Chicago

When: Dec. 12-13, 19-20

Where: 108 E. Superior St., Chicago

Cost: $75 per person

Available for pick up at the hotel, each set include five holiday-themed tea pastries, five finger sandwiches, two homemade scones and two loose leaf teas. Some of the pastries include chocolate Yule log and chestnut eggnog macaron.

Pinecone Cottage Tea House

When: Daily, Wednesday-Sunday

Where: 1029 Burlington Ave., Downers Grove

Cost: $32 per person

Inspired by Québec City in Canada, Pinecone Cottage Tea House’s December afternoon tea is filled with holiday joy. The four-course prix fixe meal includes French onion soup, tea sandwiches and desserts. Tea recommendations can be found on the menu.

Vanille

When: Daily (except for holidays)

Where: 2108 N. Clark St., Chicago

Cost: $16 kids, $26 adults

Vanille can pack up some lovely treats to go. The children’s menu offers petite croissant with peanut butter and jelly, cookie dough French macaron and more. Adults can indulge in a croissant sandwich with ham and cheese, and plenty of sweets. Tea is sold separately.
