We have so many Halloween events for children to dress up in their finest Elsa or Spiderman attire, but what about the fur children? These events are the perfect place to strut your adorable puppy’s stuff. Walk your dog in the furriest parades in Chicago.

 

Spooky Pooch Parade

 

When: Oct. 21

 

Where: Chicago Botanic Garden

 

Dogs are allowed in the Botanic Garden for two hours for a canine Halloween costume parade. The event includes parade, judging and awards. Nonprofits and vendors from a variety of local pet supply shops will share information and sell dog-related products.

 

Boo-Palooza

 

When: Oct. 27

 

Where: Chicago (Wicker Park)

 

Some of the activities include costume parades with prizes for children, families, adults and dogs, games for all ages and dogs, performances, a pumpkin patch and pumpkin decorating, dancing, a maze, midway of games, hooping, old-fashioned activities like find the needle in the straw stack and Bobbing for Apples, Ghost Bingo, and activity tables presented by community organizations and businesses from all over Chicagoland.

 

Howl O’ Ween Dog Parade

 

When: Oct. 27

 

Where: Geneva

 

Line-up begins at 1:15 p.m. in the courtyard. Prizes provided by Anderson Animal Shelter will be awarded to the best-dressed dogs and families.
