7 spots to drop off your kids on date night

Every parent wants — errr — needs a night out! Whether the kids have cabin fever, or you simply want to change things up, consider dropping them off at a kid’s night out event, offered by many child-friendly businesses. Check out these places below, where they can cook, play, paint, dance, create, and more, ensuring they are ready to hit the sack at the end of the night.

 

Kids Nite Out at the Kids Table

 

When: Most Saturdays, 6-9 p.m.

A fun-filled night at the Kids Table included crafts, games, a movie and of course, a chance for kids to make and enjoy dinner. Kids Night Out at Viking Gymnastics & Dance

 

When: Select Saturdays, 5:30-9 p.m.

Ages: 4-14

 

Cost: $45 for first child, $25 per sibling

 

Kids can enjoy an evening of supervised play on gymnastics equipment, tumble tracks and the foam pit. Little ones can also enjoy pizza, a movie and games.

 

Kids Night Out at The Paintbrush

 

When: Select Saturdays, 5:45-8:30 p.m.

 

Where: 2646 N. Halsted, St., Chicago

 

Ages: 4-12

 

Cost: $37 for first child, $27 per sibling

 

Whether it’s robots made from recyclables, Harry Potter cut outs or tie-dyed art, your children create one-of-a-kind masterpieces at Kids Night Out. In addition to art, each event includes pizza, play time and Lego fun.

 

Parent Night Out at Bubbles Academy

 

When: Second Fridays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

 

Where: 2184 N. Elston Ave., Chicago

 

Cost: $30 for first child; $15 per sibling

 

Ages: 2-5

 

Drop the kiddos off at Bubbles Academy for three hours of playtime, pizza and a movie with the Bubbles Academy team.

 

Parents’ Survival Nights at Little Gym

 

When: Most Friday evenings, 6:15-8:45 p.m.

Ages: 3-12

 

Cost: $75

 

Let your littles run out their energy with trained instructors who lead them through games, music and fun. Upcoming themed classes include pirates and princess, dinosaur adventure and air mat madness.

 

PJ Party at NY Kids Club

 

When: Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

 

Where: 2727 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago

 

Ages: 2.5-8

 

Cost: $36 for first child, $24 per sibling

 

No weekend is the same than a NY Kids Club PJ Party, where kids can get their full of music, gym, art, pizza and a unique theme ranging from superheroes to medieval magic and mad science.

 

Science Night Out at The Laboratory Collective

 

When: Select Fridays and Saturdays, 6:15-8:15 p.m.

 

Where: 2349 W. North Ave., Chicago

 

Ages: 5-12

 

Cost: $40

 

Your kiddos will be entertained and educated at the same time during Science Night Out at the Laboratory Collective. They’ll have a pizza dinner and spend time on hands-on experiments based on their favorite themes or movies. Past themes have included Slime Inventor, Wizardry, and Glow-in-the-Dark Workshop.
