Sweet ways to enjoy chocolate in Chicagoland

We couldn’t agree more with Mr. Schulz’s words and find that they ring particularly true this time of year as we head toward Valentine’s Day. Make some sweet memories and enjoy tasty treats at these fun, family-friendly chocolate events taking place in the Chicago suburbs.

Cocoa Crawl

Two dozen merchants will be offering samples of cocoa-inspired treats throughout downtown Long Grove. Begin at the Visitor’s Center where you can pick up a map and list of participating businesses and, when you’re done, enter to win prizes.

Where: Morton Arboretum, 4100 IL Route 53, Lisle

Admission: Free with regular Arboretum admission.

Without the cocoa tree, we wouldn’t have chocolate, so the Morton Arboretum is a great place to explore chocolate’s connection to the natural world. Sample an array of specialty chocolates, unique treats and items with a chocolate twist from a variety of vendors.

Chocolate Walk
