After most parades had been postponed in 2020 and 2021, Pride Month is back and better than ever. Chicagoland businesses and institutions are offering in-person and virtual events to celebrate Pride all month long.

Drag Story Time at West Lawn Branch

Join a special Pride Month story time featuring local drag artist Mac K. Roni, and facilitated by West Lawn’s children’s librarian Teresa. For children ages 0-5. Registration required.
DIY Pride Flags at Aurora Public Library – West Branch

Teens and tweens can join the library to create a Pride flag, just in time for Aurora’s annual Pride Parade happening on June 12. They will be providing small flags that can be decorated.

Holiday Craft Program: LGBTQ+ Pride Month

Movie Night: Love, Simon

Enjoy a movie and popcorn with Santori Library to celebrate Pride month. The movie is Love, Simon and is rated PG-13. No registration required.
DIY Pride Rainbow Headband at Independence Branch

Aurora Pride Parade

This annual parade is celebrating its 3rd year. It begins at East Benton Street & Broadway and travels northeast to Downer, then left on Downer to end at North Middle Ave.
Rainbow Families at Crabtree Nature Center

Celebrate Pride Month with the Crabtree Nature Center and learn about some of the different types of family arrangements in the animal kingdom.
Pride Month Door Hanger Craft at Logan Square Branch

Adults can enjoy creating a Pride craft of their own at the Logan Square Branch. The library will provide all needed materials and instructions. Registration required.
Chicago Pride Fest
June 18-19, 2022

The festival features live music by popular artists, three stages, food and drink, more than 100 vendors, drag shows, pet parade, giveaways, games, DJs and more.
Navy Pier Pride
June 25, 2022

- Cost: Free
Families with kids of all ages can enjoy this family-friendly event that spreads pier-wide. There will be a variety of performances all day long. Experience music, dance, storytelling and other activities.
Pride in the Park Chicago
June 25-26, 2022
- Address: Grant Park, 337 E. Monroe St., Chicago
- Cost: $75-$210; kids under 10 are free with paying adult
Expanded to two days, this fest in Grant Park celebrates gay pride and the LGBT community with national and local music acts running the gamut from EDM to hip hop/rap to ’80s hits to pop.
Chicago Pride Parade
June 26, 2022
- Address: Broadway Ave. & Montrose Ave., Chicago
- Cost: Free
The 51st annual Pride parade takes place through the city’s ‘Boystown’ neighborhood. It will begin at noon at Montrose Avenue and Broadway.
