Grab Your Next Slice at These Family Pizza Spots Near Schaumburg

The Northwest Suburbs offers a variety of pizza styles, from thin crust to stuffed.

Chicagoland’s pizza scene features a variety of styles, ranging from deep dish to tavern style and everything in between. If you’re heading to the Northwest suburbs, Schaumburg is a hidden gem pizza hub, offering wonderful options for pizza lovers. Here are our favorites.

Dominick’s Vila Rosa Pizzeria

Established in 1967, the Dominick’s may have changed a bit over the years, but one thing has remained constant – their pizzas. The establishment serves up tried and true family recipes passed through the family for generations, taking pride in the deep rich flavors of their classic Chicago thin, pan or stuffed pizzas.

Tievoli Pizza Bar

Tievoli chef-owner Giovanni Labbate has competed around the world as a member of the US Pizza Team, so anyone that walks into Tievoli knows that he means business when it comes to pizza. At Tievoli, all pizzas are made the same way they are made in Naples, Italy: fresh dough, San Marzano tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. Then, Labbate elevates the pizza to an approachable yet whole other level with signature pies like the hell raiser (hot soppressata,  burrata, hot honey) and the figeddaboutit (fig preserve, arugula, prosciutto, balsamic glaze).

V&V Paesano Pizzeria

For more than 40 years, V&V Paesano has been satisfying guests with thin crust, double dough crust, Sicilian pan crust and stuffed pizzas. All meats, sauces and dough are made in house using family recipes. We’re big fans of their specialty pizzas including chicken Alfredo pizza (grilled chicken, alfredo sauce), Florentine pizza (spinach, ricotta, fresh garlic) and the quattro gusti (Canadian bacon, mushroom, black olive, artichoke).

Wayne’s Pizza

Named Chicago’s Best Pizza by WGN, Wayne’s Pizza is a family-run business. While they serve delicious conventional pizza, they also have some more creative pies. One of which is the tangy hillbilly pizza with a BBQ sauce base and topped with Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon, onion, green olives and a lb. of cheese. Other special favorites among customers include the chicken parmesan pizza and chicken quesadilla pizza.

White Cottage Pizzeria & Italian Cuisine

If pizza and a calzone had a baby, it would be called a panzerotti, and that’s exactly what customers flock to White Cottage for. The chefs make a pretty mean cheese panzerotti, or fresh dough stuffed to the brim with mozzarella cheese, homemade pizza sauce, seasonings, and your favorite pizza toppings. It’s brushed with olive oil and baked to crispy, crunchy, cheesy perfection.
