Chicago might be known for its deep dish pizza, but pizza joints in both the city and burbs offer a diverse range of styles that people have come to love. Naperville is no exception. Whether its thin crust, stuffed crust or even New York style pizza, here are some of our favorite places to grab a slice in the area.

Calogero’s
- Address: 931 W. 75th, Naperville
The folks at Cologero’s believe food should not be over complicated. They handcraft their dough using their own lievito madre – or sourdough – mixed with simple ingredients of flour and water. This dough fermentation process takes 48 hours before it is wood fired into pizza perfection and topped with fresh, natural ingredients without any additives.
Little Italian Pizza
- Address: 373 East Bailey Road, Naperville
For those who can’t choose their favorite style of pizza, Little Italian Pizza offers just about every option – house crust, thin crust, x-thin crust, thick crust, stuffed crust or deep dish. We love their specialty pizzas, which range from bbq chicken and quattro formaggi to Hawaiian and Italian beef with giardiniera.
Little Pops New York Pizzeria
- Address: 1819 Wehrli Road, Naperville
Mike and Vicki Nelson grew up in New York and found themselves missing out on New York pizza while in Chicago. On a whim, they purchased a storefront that would later become the first of three Chicagoland area Little Pops New York Pizzeria’s. Named the best New York style pizza in Illinois by the Washington Post, Little Pops delivers on the supremely foldable pizza that’s thin in the center with a risen lip on the edge, dressed in sauce with cheese atop.
Uncle Pete’s Pizza
Uncle Pete’s Pizza has roots dating back to 1947, and was established in Naperville in 1980.
This locally-owned and -operated pizzeria makes its own fresh dough daily and uses its own sauce, which features a special blend of Italian spices and tomatoes. Choose between thin, extra thin, double dough, pan, and stuffed pizza crust. Regular customers often rave about the Greek pizza (olive oil, chopped garlic, spinach, feta, black olives) and of course, the Uncle Pete’s special (sausage, onion, mushroom, green pepper, chopped garlic).
Dan’s Pizza
- Address: 2738 Maple Avenue, Downers Grove
For more than 40 years, Dan’s has served up authentic thin crust Chicago style pizza. Their flagship pizza – The Dan’s Special – is loaded with mozzarella, housemade Italian sausage and is finished with mushroom, onion and green pepper. Other fan favorites include the BBQ pizza (homemade BBQ sauce, mozzarella, sausage, thick cut bacon) and the buffalo chicken pizza (white meat chicken, mozzarella, onions, buffalo sauce). All crusts are made to be crispy on the bottom and soft on the top to soak up all of the sauce.
