7 Local Movie Theaters Offering Curbside Concessions Pickup

As local theaters are currently in intermission due to the stay-at-home order, there are still ways to support these small businesses. Many independent movie theaters in the Chicagoland area are offering concession snacks for curbside pickup. If you’ve been craving hot, buttery popcorn, here is where you can pick up a fresh bag.

 

Music Box Theatre

 

When: Friday (4-7:30 p.m.), Sunday (3:30-7:30 p.m.)

 

Where: Chicago (Lakeview)

 

Cost: $20-$30

 

Chicago families can order Music Box’s “Rated PG” pack that comes with your choice of two sodas, two candies and popcorn. Sneaking in an at-home date night? Upgrade to the “Rated R” packages that come with a four-pack of beer or a bottle of wine.

 

Pickwick Theatre

Where: Park Ridge

 

Cost: $5

 

The historic suburban theater is offering $5 popcorn, two candy packs or Dibs ice cream. You can pre-order online and walk-ups are also available while supplies last.

 

The Logan Theatre

 

When: Check the website for next date

 

Where: Chicago (Logan Square)

 

Cost: $10

 

Logan’s $10 Curbside Popcorn packs include two jumbo bags (!!) of popcorn and your choice of a candy.

 

Classic Cinemas

 

When: Monday-Thursday (4-7 p.m.), Friday (3-8 p.m.), Saturday (Noon-8 p.m.), Sunday (Noon-5 p.m.)

Starting May 8, select Classic Cinemas theaters will offer online and phone orders of your favorite concessions.

 

Davis Theatre

Where: Chicago (Ravenswood)

 

Cost: Varies by snack

 

Davis Theatre might be closed, but its adjacent restaurant, Carbon Arc Bar & Board, is selling concessions. You can enjoy popcorn, including flavors like caramel and coconut curry, and candy. Throw some fountain soda in the order while you’re at it!

 

Marcus Theatres

 

When: Friday-Sunday

 

Where: Addison, Elgin, Orland Park and more — see full list on the website.

 

Cost: $10-$20

 

Get your popcorn fix by buying one of two offered options. The Family Size Bag ($10) includes two large popcorns and the Party Size Bag ($20) includes five large popcorns.

 

Catlow Theater

 

When: Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday (1-3 p.m.) and Friday & Saturday (4-7 p.m.)

 

Where: Barrington

 

Cost: Varies by snack

 

Caramel or cheese popcorn fans can grab a bag (or two) from Catlow Theater. Other concessions offered include candy, beer and wine.
