When the opportunity presented itself to attend dinner party where my sole responsibility would be to eat delicious food, being the foodie that I am, I of course jumped at the occasion.
The dinner party was made possible by the fine folks of KitchenSurfing.com and having not heard of the company before, I immediately made my way to their website to learn a little more about them.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with KitchenSurfing, the process is very simple: you provide the guests, your kitchen and an empty belly, and they take care of the rest.
KitchenSurfing is all about providing a unique experience for you and your guests. You pick a chef, work on a menu, invite your friends and family to your place, and voila! You have the perfect dinner party!
Our menu consisted of the deliciousness below:
A Trio of Crostini with Roasted Beets and Ricotta, Grape Tomato Bruschetta, Zucchini Ribbons and Herbed Goat Cheese
Two Bean Minestrone with Pancetta
Mixed Greens Salad with Balsamic Glazed Prosciutto
Pork Roast with Porcini Garlic Parmesan Cream over soft Polenta
Sauteed Broccoli
Tiramisu
If you’re wondering if the food was as delicious as the menu seems, you can stop wondering. Our chef, Kristin Koury, has cooking skills that are out of this world, and my palette was truly entertained.
The food was cooked to perfection and the overall experience was delightful. If you’ve ever wanted to host a dinner party for a few friends without worrying about cooking or cleaning, Kitchen Surfing is something you want to try.
A special thank you to Shannan for being such a gracious and delightful host! It was a wonderful night of laughter, good food and great company!
