9 Indoor Trick-or-Treating Events on Halloween

As much as we love trick-or-treating during Halloween, Chicago’s weather is unpredictable (Snow is not OK in October!). Families can stay warm and actually show off their costumes on Halloween at these indoor trick-or-treating events.

City

Navy Pier Trick-or-Treating

When: Oct. 31, 2-6 p.m.

Where: Navy Pier, 600 E. Grand Ave., Chicago

Dress up in your best costumes for Trick-or-Treating at Navy Pier. Walk throughout the Pier and collect candy from many of the participating onsite establishments.

North/Northwest Suburbs

Trick or Treating at Ice House

When: Oct. 31, 12-5 p.m.

Where: Ice House Mall & Village Shops, 200 Applebee St., Barrington

Take your little ghosts and goblins trick-or-treating at the shops of the Ice House Mall and Chessie’s Restaurant.

Halloween at Harlem Irving Plaza

When: Oct. 31, 4-6 p.m.

Where: Harlem Irving Plaza, 4104 N. Harlem Ave., Norridge

Enjoy free entertainment such as a balloon artist and strolling magicians. Select stores will be giving out candy (while supplies last).

Candy Crawl

When: Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m.

Where: Lincolnwood Town Center3333 W. Touhy Ave., Lincolnwood

Grab your friends, it’s a candy crawl! Come dressed ready to spook the crowd and collect all your favorite treats.

Trick-or-Treat at Northbrook Court

When: Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m.

Where: Northbrook Court, 1515 Lake Cook Road, Northbrook

Join Northbrook Court and trick or treat at the various retailers this Halloween! Look out for the pumpkin sign in the window of participating retailers and claim your candy.

Trick or Treat at Golf Mill Mall

When: Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m.

Where: Golf Mill Shopping Center, 239 Golf Mill Center, Niles

Starting at 5 p.m., there will be free face painting, balloon art and treat stations set up throughout the mall, while supplies last, for young trick-or-treaters. Face painting and balloon art ends at 7 p.m.

South Suburbs

Trick-or-Treat at the Library

When: Oct. 31, 4-6 p.m.

Where: Lemont Public Library, 50 E. Wend St., Lemont

Celebrate Lemonster Days with a stop at the library for trick-or-treating with some of your favorite storybook characters. Popular book characters such as Harry Potter, Mother Goose, Little Red Riding Hood and more will be giving away treats!

Mall-O-Ween Trick or Treating

When: Oct. 31, 4-7 p.m.

Where: Chicago Ridge Mall, 444 Chicago Ridge Mall, Chicago Ridge

Princesses, superheroes, goblins and ghosts can receive candy from participating retailers on Halloween. Stop by the Security Desk to get candy and a list of participating retailers.

Western Suburbs

Trick-or-Treat Mall Event

When: Oct. 31, 4-6 p.m.

Where: North Riverside Mall Theatre, 7501 W. Cermak Road, North Riverside

Enjoy trick-or-treating mall-wide. There will be music, face painting and balloon artists. Look for signs at participating stores.
