HAPPY PLACE pops up to make Chicago families smile

Looking for a great place to capture your next batch of photos, hold a play date or just let loose and have fun? HAPPY PLACE Chicago, an immersive experience set up to dazzle you with all things cheerful, is popping up in Chicago this summer at 1004 N. Elston.

Imagine tossing confetti at each other in the world’s largest indoor Confetti Dome or jumping into a giant pot of gold-colored balls. You’ll capture those hard-to-get kiddo smiles with all the fun around. And the photo op fun doesn’t stop there; announce that you’re expecting or reveal the gender of your baby in the colorful space.

“Eyes light up when people enter HAPPY PLACE,” says founder, Jared Paul. “Current events can be tough. I wanted to use my entertainment industry skills to create an experiential space where people can’t help but smile.”

And smile is exactly what my daughter and I did when we explored the 13 themed environments filled with fun textures and Instagramable backdrops. Craveable, colorful food, like Rainbow Grilled Cheese and Unicorn Mac & Cheese, is also available.

HAPPY PLACE is open June 28 through August 6. Book your tickets before the pop-up moves on to the next stop its happiness tour.

Tickets are $30 per person on weekdays or $35 per person on weekends, plus a $2.50 service fee. Children ages 4 and under are free.

Tip: Jared recommends going earlier in the day, then grabbing brunch afterwards. Have a blast capturing your happy!
