Spookify Your Mold-A-Rama Collection with Halloween Figures at Brookfield Zoo

While dinosaurs continue to rule the land at Brookfield Zoo, the attraction hasn’t forgotten about Halloween.

Though Boo at the Zoo is canceled this year, Fall at the Zoo is in full swing, and Mold-A-Rama has joined the fun with six molds for fans of Halloween and the Chicago-area figurines to add to their collections.

The company has added a gray bust of the Frankenstein monster, a pink troll, a blue bust of the devil, a white skull, a white ghost and a tan tiki to the Mold-A-Rama roster.

Also available at the zoo this fall are a stegosaurus, a corythosaurus, a trachodon, a triceratops, an apatasaurus and a T. rex, all honoring the zoo’s Dinos Everywhere exhibit.

The Mold-A-Rama machines are now accepting credit cards for families that are remaining cash free during the pandemic and most molds are $3 each to make.

Tickets to Brookfield Zoo must be reserved and purchased in advance. Fall at the Zoo includes a Selfie Sweepstakes for guests who capture photos at “selfie stands” around the grounds to enter weekly contests. Costumes are encouraged. Dinos Everywhere and Fall at the Zoo run through Nov. 1.

During the holiday season, molds at Brookfield Zoo and the Museum of Science and Industry swap out to include other seasonal fare. In the past, holiday molds have included Christmas trees, Santas and angels.

Here’s where you can find your Halloween molds at Brookfield Zoo:

  • Gray Frankenstein Monster (Old Woofield Gifts Annex)
  • Pink Troll (Seven Seas Gift Shop)
  • Blue Devil (Seven Seas Gift Shop)
  • White Skull (Great Bear Plaza)
  • White Ghost (Coast Gifts & Starfish Food Court)
  • Tan Tiki (Australia House)
