Moms’ favorite products to help kids reach milestones

The start of a new year is always bittersweet for me. I’m so happy to welcome a new year full of possibilities, but it’s also a reminder that my kids are growing up faster than I feel like I can keep up with at times. Case in point, in March my baby is turning one (Whaaaa?!) and my big girl will begin Pre-K in September.

As your own kids are growing up, maybe you’ve set some goals to meet before the year is out. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite products that may help.

Goal: Start solid foods

Try: Baby Brezza Glass One Step Baby Food Maker

Transitioning to solids is a big milestone. If you choose to go the make-your-own-food route, Baby Brezza can make the process super simple. With the new Glass One Step Baby Food you can steam and blend food in the same bowl, with the push of a button. You’ll be saving time and extra dirty dishes as well, the latter of which you’ll fully appreciate when you see just how messy baby will get.

The Baby Brezza Glass One Step Baby Food Maker retails for $159.99.

Goal: Potty train

Try: Pee & Poo Duo plush toys

Some kids are visual learners and when it comes to potty training, many parents will tell you they will try anything to help the process–which can take months–along. Use Pee & Poo (yes, you read that right) plush toys as educational tools or just as cuddle buddies for your littles to hold onto while they sit and sit and sit. Plus, little kids love potty humor, don’t they?

Pee & Poo Duo plush toys retail for $39.95.

Goal: Transition to a big kid bed

Try: DockATot

Maybe a new baby is coming along soon or it’s time to clear up some floor space. Whatever the reason, moving from the crib is a big step. The DockATot, a comfy lounger with built-in bumpers, gives a sense of security while helping your newly minted big kid adjust to the freedom of a new bed. With two different sizes and more than 30 (machine-washable) covers, it’s easy to find the perfect one for your family.

The DockATot retails for $165+.

Goal: Never miss a moment

Try: Milestone Toddler Cards

With your kids growing like weeds and hitting developmental milestones left and right, you need a cute way to document every memorable moment. Milestone’s new Toddler Cards cover all those “firsts” you don’t want to forget, including using the potty, learning to count to ten and getting dressed alone. You’re totally tearing up imagining how proud they’ll be of their accomplishments, right? I told you, it’s bittersweet.

Milestone Toddler Cards retail for $24.
