14 Frozen events to attend before watching the new movie

Is anyone else counting the days until “Frozen II” hits theaters? Celebrate the iconic movie’s sequel with these fun Frozen events in the Chicagoland. Your kids will able to meet their favorite characters from Arendelle (including everyone’s favorite Disney sisters Elsa and Anna!), watch both movies, make Frozen-themed crafts and more.

 

 

Frozen Fantasy Fest

 

When: Nov. 16

 

Where: Glenview United Methodist Church, 727 Harlem Ave., Glenview

 

Meet Elsa, Anna and Olaf, try your hands at arts & craft projects, play games, eat snacks, take photos at a selfie station, and enter raffles. All proceeds from the Frozen Fantasy Fest will go towards North Shore Dance & Theater.

 

Snow Queen and Sister Meet and Greet

 

When: Nov. 16 & 24

 

Where: Learning Express Glen Ellyn, 900 Roosevelt Rd., Glen Ellyn

 

Meet and take photos with winter royalty Anna & Elsa.

 

Elsa & Anna’s Frozen Extravaganza

 

When: Nov. 17

 

Where: Fitz’s Spare Keys, 119 N. York St., Elmhurst

 

Join Anna & Elsa for a special showing of Frozen, sing the soundtrack (plus a few new songs), enjoy meet & greets and try fun frozen activities like snowflake stations and group games.

 

Frozen Sing A Long & Dance Extravaganza

 

When: Nov. 21

 

Where: Kids Kustom Parties, 295 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine

 

Join Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf for games, crafts, a goodie bag and snacks and beverages.

 

Frozen Sing-Along

 

When: Nov. 23

 

Where: Warren-Newport Public Library, 224 N. O’Plaine Road, Gurnee

 

Sing along with Elsa, Anna and Olaf in a screening of the Sing-Along edition of Disney’s Frozen. Costumes are encouraged.

 

Sensory Friendly Frozen 2 Movie Premier

 

When: Nov. 23

 

Where: IPIC Bolingbrook, 619 East Boughton Road, Bolingbrook

 

Enjoy an exclusive private showing of Frozen II dedicated to families with children and young adults with special needs. Come early for a private meet and greet with Elsa, Anna and Kristoff. Showing includes elimination of previews, reduction in audio and lights brought down to a twilight. Costumes are encouraged.

 

Frozen activities at Chicago Toy & Game Fair

 

When: Nov. 23

 

Where: Navy Pier, 600 E. Grand Ave., Chicago

 

Kids attend free at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair on Saturday if they’re wearing Frozen costumes. Enjoy a Sven Scavenger Hunt from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

 

Frozen Storytime & Dance Party

 

When: Nov. 23

 

Where: Dynamic Force Dancers, 2150 South Canalport Avenue, Chicago

 

Enjoy storytime, crafts, a tumble class and refreshments at a pop-up Frozen Fest. Tickets include mimosas for mom and dad. Recommended for ages up to 10.

 

Princess & Face Painting

 

When: Nov. 23-23

 

Where: Hollywood Blvd. Cinema 1001 W. 75th St., Woodridge

 

Celebrate Frozen II with your favorite Royal Sisters, including photo ops with the snow family and face painting. Movie tickets aren’t required but advance tickets for Frozen II are highly encouraged.

 

Frozen II Family Parties

 

When: Nov. 23-24

 

Where: Various Marcus Theaters locations in Chicagoland (Check their website)

 

Enjoy some indoor winter fun at a Frozen II Family Party. Make crafts, enjoy snacks and more. Movie tickets are sold separately.

 

Storytime and Activities Featuring Anna, Elsa and the Secret River and Frozen 2 Little Golden Book

Get ready for Frozen 2 with a special storytime reading of two new books from the Golden Book collection, featuring the magic and adventure of the new movie.

 

Frozen Princess Workshop

 

When: Nov. 29

 

Where: Kidcreate Studio, 3709 N. Southport, Chicago

 

Kids ages 4-9 will create a sparkly, wintery castle scene featuring their favorite cold-weather royalty. Pack a nut-free snack and a drink for your child.

 

Frozen Paint Class

 

When: Dec. 6

 

Where: Olín Studio Chicago, 1957 W. 23rd St, Chicago

 

Kids can try their hands at painting their favorite Frozen characters, working hand-in-hand with parents and caregivers. Choose from different characters, sketch the drawing, then customize the painting to each child’s liking. Ticket needed for child only and includes canvas.

 

Hot Cocoa With Anna & Elsa

 

When: Dec. 21

 

Where: Blackberry Farm, 100 S. Barnes Road, Aurora

 

Join your favorite cold-weather sisters, Anna and Elsa, for a hot cocoa party complete with sing-a-long and photo opportunities. Each registered attendant is also invited to come early or stay after to enjoy all Holiday Express has to offer.
