Families looking for a night time activity can sign up for free tickets to a drive-in movie in a local Walmart parking lot.Â
The superstore is hosting a Walmart Drive-In series at select locations August through October. Each location will play movies for one weekend. The tickets are free, but space is limited to allow for social distancing. Families can begin signing up for local tickets at 4 p.m. Aug. 5.Â
Movies showing include Wonder Woman, Spy Kids, Space Jam, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Ghostbusters, The Wizard of Oz, Black Panther, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Friday Night Lights.Â
The following Walmart stores in the Chicagoland area will be showing movies:
- Streamwood: Aug. 14-15
- Huntley: Aug. 21-22
- Elgin: Aug. 28-29
- Saint Charles:Â Sept. 1-2
- Batavia:Â Sept. 4-5
- Aurora: Sept. 8-9
- New Lenox:Â Sept. 11-12
- Orland Hills: Sept. 15-16
- Richton Park: Sept. 18-19
- Olympia Fields: Sept. 22-23
- Bourbonnais:Â Sept. 29-30
- Kankakee:Â Oct. 2-3
