4th of July Dinner on Lake Michigan at Navy Pier

July 4, 2022

Enjoy a dinner cruise on Lake Michigan in honor of Fourth of July. While onboard, enjoy chef-prepared menus, cocktails, beer, wine and Chicago’s most incredible views from the water.  After dinner, watch sparks fly on the water and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display.

City of Elgin Fourth of July Parade and Festival in Festival Park

July 4, 2022

Elgin hosts its annual 4th of July parade with the theme “No Place Like Home.” Food trucks will be available for purchase. Enjoy musical entertainment provided by The Modern Day Romeos and conclude the night with fireworks.

Glenview Fourth of July in Gallery Park

July 4, 2022

Enjoy a Fourth of July parade through downtown Glenview. There will be floats, a bike parade, entertainers, live music, food trucks, giveaways and more. End the evening with a firework display synchronized to music in Gallery Park.   

Lake Forest Festival & Fireworks at Deerpath Community Park

July 4, 2022

Celebrate the 15th Annual Lake Forest Festival and Fireworks event. There will be fireworks, music, food, entertainment, activities and more.

Skokie’s Independence Day Parade & 3D Fireworks Festival at Niles West High School

July 4, 2022  

Skokie’s Fourth of July parade features marching bands, floats and more. At the festival, there will be live music, a water balloon toss, tug-of-war, sack race, egg race, hula hoops and face painting. The evening will end with a 3-D Fireworks Festival, with the first 10,000 patrons receiving a free pair of 3-D glasses.

Winnetka’s Fourth of July Fireworks at Duke Child’s Field

Families can enjoy Fourth of July firework display at Duke Childs Field. 

South Suburbs

Plainfield Patriotic Picnic and Fireworks at Plainfield Central High School

July 3, 2022

The picnic features a touch-a-truck, inflatables, games, food and more at Plainfield Central High School. Fireworks follow the event.  

4th of July Celebration at McCarthy Park

July 4, 2022  

Celebrate July 4th in McCarthy Park with food trucks, live music, face painting, batting cages, crafts, games, fireworks and more. 

Independence Day Celebration at Village Commons

July 4, 2022 

Enjoy a performance from Whiskeyfist and Joliet American Legion Band and a fireworks display with patriotic tunes beginning at dusk.
