Fitbit Local offers free group fitness classes at Chicago landmarks

If you don’t even know what wearable technology means, you’re probably still an owner of a rotary phone. I’m joking! But, seriously, pretty much everyone and their mother (yes, even mine) has some sort of fitness device. Fitness devices have gone from simply tracking steps to truly becoming your productivity and health companion, all while being conveniently located on your wrist.

With that said, Fitbit is revolutionizing the fitness device market. In addition to creating great devices, they are also bringing the community together with the mantra: “Get Together. Sweat Together.”

Do you like to work out? Do you like free workouts with awesome trainers? If you said “Yes!” to either one of those statements, you’ll be excited to know that Fitbit Local is hosting two upcoming community workouts led by two Chicago fitness gurus, Jeremy Walton and Jenny Finkel.

Jeremy (@waltonmethod) is currently a trainer for SHRED415 and has been a fitness expert in his field for more than 15 years. He was a trainer for VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club season four and was named top fitness influencer by Gatorade in 2011.

Jenny (@jennyfinkelyoga) is your resident yogi and has completed multiple fitness trainings, including Therapeutic Yoga for Cancer, AFAA Group Fitness and Exhale’s 40 Hour Barre and Core Fusion certifications. In the last year she led three international yoga retreats and is planning another in Costa Rica for 2017. She is also a published author and performs improv in the city.
