Chicagoland is known for having an amazing food scene, but brunch is by far my favorite meal. Every weekend, I have to pick between eggs benedict and crepes; it’s always a tough choice unless I can get someone to go halfsies and share a sweet/savory item with me. And, while I’ve been to my fair share of brunches around the city and suburbs, there are a few favorites that I love a little more than others.
With only a few days until Easter Sunday, here are five hot spots in the Northern suburbs that are serving up some amazing spreads. From Build-Your-Own-Bloody bars to oysters on the half-shell, your family will not be disappointed.
Their award-winning Easter brunch includes an array of decadent items such as bubbly Champagne and mimosas, oysters on the half-shell, peel & eat Gulf shrimp, snow crab, made-to-order omelets, hand-carved prime rib, fresh salads, fruit, hot entrees and a never-ending dessert station boasting a chocolate fondue fountain. Enjoy delicious food while overlooking the beautiful and peaceful river. Price for adults is $42 and kids 4-10 are $18. Reservations are required during their serving hours of 10 a.m.- 4p.m.

Families will receive complimentary family photos and a visit from the Easter Bunny! Price for adults is $34.95, kids 4-12 are $16 and kids under 4 are free. Brunch is served from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Brunch seating is at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and includes an appearance by the Easter Bunny. Enjoy traditional favorites such as an omelet bar, house specialties like the antipasto bar and a carving station featuring slow roasted prime rib, ham, and roasted lamb, a children’s station and a dessert station. The Estate’s Easter Brunch costs $39 for adults and $19 for kids 11 and younger, plus tax and gratuity. Complimentary valet service is also available. Reservations are required.
