Easter brunch at The Estate by Gene Georgetti
Chicagoland is known for having an amazing food scene, but brunch is by far my favorite meal. Every weekend, I have to pick between eggs benedict and crepes; it’s always a tough choice unless I can get someone to go halfsies and share a sweet/savory item with me. And, while I’ve been to my fair share of brunches around the city and suburbs, there are a few favorites that I love a little more than others.
With only a few days until Easter Sunday, here are five hot spots in the Northern suburbs that are serving up some amazing spreads. From Build-Your-Own-Bloody bars to oysters on the half-shell, your family will not be disappointed.
Allgauer’s on the Riverfront
Their award-winning Easter brunch includes an array of decadent items such as bubbly Champagne and mimosas, oysters on the half-shell, peel & eat Gulf shrimp, snow crab, made-to-order omelets, hand-carved prime rib, fresh salads, fruit, hot entrees and a never-ending dessert station boasting a chocolate fondue fountain. Enjoy delicious food while overlooking the beautiful and peaceful river. Price for adults is $42 and kids 4-10 are $18. Reservations are required during their serving hours of 10 a.m.- 4p.m.

In true e+o style, there is a variety of earth and ocean dishes served buffet style. You’ll find an assortment of classic brunch items such as croissants, antipasto trays, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, salads, specialty maki rolls, French toast, frittatas, breakfast potatoes and carving stations. Families will receive complimentary family photos and a visit from the Easter Bunny! Price for adults is $34.95, kids 4-12 are $16 and kids under 4 are free. Brunch is served from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Welcome to The Estate, where boozy brunch takes on a whole new meaning. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a complimentary Mimosa. If mimosas aren’t your jam, cozy up the amazing Bloody Mary bar. Brunch seating is at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and includes an appearance by the Easter Bunny. Enjoy traditional favorites such as an omelet bar, house specialties like the antipasto bar and a carving station featuring slow roasted prime rib, ham, and roasted lamb, a children’s station and a dessert station. The Estate’s Easter Brunch costs $39 for adults and $19 for kids 11 and younger, plus tax and gratuity. Complimentary valet service is also available. Reservations are required.

European Crystal Banquets
From traditional brunch fare to European classics, European Crystal Banquets serves up more than 100 menu items. From carving stations, seafood displays, sweets tables and more, this champagne Easter brunch has everything! Choose from three seatings to accommodate hungry families at 10:30 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m. Brunch costs $39.95 for adults and $16.95 for kids 3-11.

This North Shore favorite is providing a seasonally inspired Easter brunch menu created by Chef Bradford Phillips.
