Chicago baby nursery: Can girls have a blue room?

When I found out I was pregnant with a girl, I knew there was one thing she wouldn’t have – a pink room, pink clothes or pink this and pink that. I wanted a little funky Punky Brewster in her style. I know, I know, she will decide what she likes, but until then, I can live my childhood style dreams vicariously through her.

With that, came her room. I knew I wanted to go with the blues, but had to be careful as not to pick the wrong shade of blue. I wanted to either go bold with turquoise based blues or the other extreme and go light with gray based blues. Through my search, I found many great options for girls. Here are a few.
