Everyone loves a good taco. If you’re near Naperville, you’re in luck. From family-run restaurants to beloved local chains serving up dozens of varieties, here are the top spots that give us something to taco-bout.
Todopos
- Address: 2048 Aurora Ave., Naperville
A casual, counter-style restaurant nestled inside a strip mall, Todopos is a hidden gem in Naperville. Voted the best Mexican Restaurant in Naperville on Yelp, Todopos serves all menu items fresh, from produce to meat. Shells come in crispy or corn, and meat options include steak, shrimp, chicken, pork, barbacoa and Mexican sausage. Toppings range from the basic (lettuce, tomato, cheese) to extra hot peanut sauce.
Rito’s

In addition to being known for its out-of-this world guacamole, locals can’t get enough of the tacos al pastor at Rito’s. This slow-cooked marinated pork is juicy, tender and full of flavor. It can be served in a crispy shell or soft tortilla and is served with Spanish rice and refried beans. If you’re feeling spicy, Rito’s also serves more than a dozen Mexican beers and giant margaritas (frozen or on the rocks).
Taco Dale

Taco Dale has one of the most extensive taco menus in the Western suburbs! Jefa Tacos

While Jefa Tacos has an extensive menu consisting of tamales, enchiladas, flautas, and more, it’s hard to order anything but the tacos – all of which are bursting with flavor. Customers can opt for a more standard barbacoa, chorizo or chicken taco, or try one of Jefa’s best selling specialty tacos. Munch on hot, crispy chips and homemade salsa while you wait for a beer battered tilapia taco, blackened grilled shrimp taco with cabbage slaw or the customer favorite breakfast taco. Complete with a fried egg, chorizo, melted chihuahua cheese and avocado, this is Jefa’s most requested dish.
MAGO Grill

Standout tacos served on corn or flour tortillas include Yucatán-style pulled pork with habaneros and purple onions and portobello mushrooms with roasted plantains and black bean spread.
