Brrr, it’s chilly out there! If you can’t sit around in pajamas and a warm blanket all day, you can have the next best thing – a cup of hot chocolate. This cozy comfort drink is a staple in the winter, and we’ve rounded up the best places to grab hot chocolate in and around Tinley Park.
Frosted Donuts
- Address: 17119 88th Avenue, Tinley Park
Frosted Donuts is of course known for their amazing donuts, but their cinnamon spiced hot chocolate is an unsung hero on the menu. This cozy and sweet warm winter drink includes a creamy blend of cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate that’s full of comforting flavors.
The Scoop
- Address: 17326 Oak Park Avenue, Tinley Park
If you like flavored hot chocolate, you’re in luck, as The Scoop does more than a dozen hot chocolate varieties, including cookie dough, hazelnut, vanilla, salted caramel, s’mores, French toast, gingerbread and peppermint. But the fun doesn’t stop there. They finish all hot chocolate with the works — whipped cream, sprinkles, marshmallows, and chocolate, caramel or marshmallow drizzle. In the warmer months, we’re also big fans of the hot chocolate float, which includes a scoop of ice cream.
Crepello
- Address: 15845 S. Harlem Ave., Orland Park
Here’s your hot chocolate upgrade — pistachio hot chocolate. While an unlikely pairing, white chocolate and pistachio come together to make one delicious drink that’s part nutty and part sweet, but completely packed with a rich, decadent flavor. We love the frothed milk and ground pistachio top off.
Stan’s Donuts
- Address: 15646 S. LaGrange Road, Orland Park
The peppermint bark donut was so popular at Stan’s, there is now a drink version! The peppermint bark hot chocolate is made with Stan’s classic, rich hot chocolate and topped with whipped cream and a miniature candy cane. Guests are welcome to add a shot of espresso to make it a mocha.
