With three kinds of donuts (cake, raised yeast, filled) available in a dozen different flavors, its near impossible to choose. We love the old fashioned sour cream, toasted coconut and seasonal specialties like and chocolate mint and pumpkin and cider.
Fanny’s Thai Rolled Ice Cream

For a unique sweet treat, try rolled ice cream at Fanny’s Thai Rolled Ice Cream. This ice cream is made with fresh fruits or cookies on a below 10-degree frozen machine right in front of you.
Make your own creation or try a signature selection like the green tea (green tea, marshmallow, whipped cream, green tea pocky), coconut flake (coconut milk, mango jelly, pineapple jelly, lychee jelly, mango pop, whipped cream, fruity pebbles) or our favorite, monkey business (banana, Nutella, caramel, whipped cream, chocolate pocky).
Herb’s Bakery

Since 1954, Herb’s has been creating and baking delicious, real bakery treats for the Fox Valley area. From old-fashion cake donuts, hand-made Danish, kringles and the soft Bavarian German pretzel roll, to elegant and fun custom cakes and desserts, they create pretty much anything.
In fact, the Chicago Tribune named their paczki one of the top 20 things every Illinoisan should eat. On Fat Tuesday, the line wraps around the store several times over.
Sugar & Rhyme Coffee House
- Address: 203 E. Chicago St., Elgin
This family-owned coffeehouse and bakery serves artisanal pastries all made in house and baked fresh daily. Their from-scratch croissants boast 36 buttery layers with options including classic chocolate, butter, almond and even smoked ham and gouda filled.
Featuring Milwaukee’s own Colectivo Coffee, all the syrups and flavors are made in-house, such as fan favorites like vanilla bean, chocolate cashew, lavender and mint.
