Bugapalooza at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

Stop by the bug zoo to get up close and personal with native insects and spiders and make sure to visit the petting zoo while you’re there. Speak with their entomologist, watch insect pinning demos and learn to dance like a bee. For all ages.
Broadway in your Backyard at Washington Square Park

Movies on the Midway

Come out to UChicago’s annual Movies on the Midway summer event series and watch The Little Mermaid. There will also be family-friendly, interactive programming. Movies begin at sunset.
Retro on Roscoe

There will be live music on three stages, antique vendors and merchants and a family area. The family area features inflatables, face painting, balloon artists, rides, crafts and more.
Street Love Ride at St. Agatha Catholic Church

Enjoy a community expo with music and snacks from 6-8 p.m. The celebration continues with a festive 9-mile slow ride through the West Side starting at 8 p.m., featuring bikes decked out in lights and glow-in-the-dark accessories to spread joy. Registration required.
