Located in a shopping plaza, Adventure Playland–a new play place in Mount Prospect–and can be easily missed (Hint: It’s tucked away across the side of the Walmart). But you’ll definitely want to find it because, according to my kids, it’s definitely worth the visit.
Whenever I plan a day out with the kids it has to revolve around their meals. I usually feed a meal before we step out, then pack a bunch of snacks to keep their little bodies energized and then plan a return time for their next meal. At Adventure Playland you don’t have to worry about doing any of that. With an extensive European and American menu and plenty of quick snacks for the kids you are sure to find something to satisfy your craving. They have everything from turkey wraps to strawberry crepes, and plenty of beverage options. You can literally have every meal there, including dessert! Just place your order and it will be brought out to your table.
The playground at Adventure Playland is a cozy size. It’s geared toward younger children, with ages 1-8 enjoying it the most. There is also a small corner for crawlers as well. What I like most about the playground is how it’s situated. The play area is strictly on one wall of the café directly in front of the seating area for the parents. So you can keep an eye on your children while enjoying a cup of coffee and a Nutella banana crepe like I did. They also offer a large party room that can fit up to 30 kids or can be divided into two smaller rooms.
When we first arrived I didn’t think my kids would want to stay more than an hour and to my surprise, we were there for four! They didn’t want to leave and since their favorite snacks were already there, I couldn’t even bribe them with food at home.
