The beginning of the school year brings the hopefulness of a fresh start. Then reality sets in and the weight of balancing it all seems overwhelming. Freezer Steel Cut Oatmeal

These are great to have in the freezer for busy mornings! It’s always nice to have a quick breakfast on hand. This is also a perfect option to bring to breastfeeding moms since oats are known to increase milk supply.

To make: Prepare exactly as it states on the recipe.

When you are ready to eat: Place 2-3 “pucks” in a microwave-safe dish and microwave for 2-3 minutes. Top with your favorite toppings (nuts, dried fruit, maple syrup, etc.) and enjoy!

Another delicious, filling breakfast option to keep in the freezer to have breakfast ready in minutes. These are completely customizable and take about only 30 minutes to prepare.

To make: Prepare as it states in the recipe, stopping before baking. Place in a freezer-friendly plan and freeze for up to 3 months.

When you are ready to eat: Thaw the pot pie. When thawed, bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with biscuits or rolls and a dash of hot sauce for the adults!

This recipe is a weeknight meal favorite at our house that also freezes very well!

To make: Follow the recipe as it states until the baking step. Place in a freezer-friendly plan and freeze for up to 3 months.

When you are ready to eat: Thaw fully. Once thawed, bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Mini BBQ Cheddar Meatloaves

This is another favorite meal in our household that freezes easily.

To make: Follow the recipe as it states but stop before baking. Wrap the meatloaves, raw, in plastic wrap and freeze. Serve alongside a bag of frozen broccoli to complete your meal.

When you are ready to eat: Thaw fully. Once thawed, remove the plastic wrap and place the meatloaves on a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees, until no longer pink in the center.

Cake Batter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Make busy nights special with cake batter chocolate chip cookies! We won’t tell if you sneak a few for yourself.

To make: Prepare dough and scoop rounded balls onto a baking sheet. Place in the freezer to freeze flat and transfer to a plastic bag or container after completely frozen.

When you are ready to bake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake from frozen from 10-12 minutes, until the edges are slightly brown. When ready the cookies will seem soft in the middle, but will continue to set as they cool. Enjoy!
