Free museum days are always on top of our list for things to do in Chicago with kids. Now you can take advantage of them every single week at one of our favorite local museums.
This winter, The Field Museum will now offer free basic admission for select days in January and for the entire month of February. Illinois residents can attend the museum free of charge for the following dates:
- Jan. 20, 22 & 29
- Feb. 1-29
The basic admission allows visitors to see Sue’s new suite, The Crown Family PlayLab and more. On these free days, you can also upgrade to their discounted all-access pass, which will give you entry to all their ticketed exhibitions (have you seen their Fantastic Bugs Encounters! yet?) and one 3D movie. The additional cost for local families will be $23 for adults, $17 for children, and $20 for seniors and students.
