Step Beyond the Screen Into a World of Wonder at Wonderverse in Oak Brook

The new entertainment center combines VR, arcade games, dining and drinks with Sony movies and video games.

Sony Pictures Entertainment is bringing Wonderverse, the studio’s first immersive entertainment center, to Oak Brook. 

Wonderverse guests can step beyond the screen of their favorite Sony movies and video games — like “Uncharted,” “Ghostbusters,” “Jumanji” and more — and enjoy VR experiences, arcade games, escape rooms and themed dining experiences based on popular Sony entertainment.

  • Opens Jan. 11
  • Address: 2310 Oakbrook Center, Oak Brook
  • Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday-Saturday; 11 a.m.-midnight. 
    • Note: Only guests 21+ may enter after 8 p.m. on Friday-Saturday. 
  • Cost: Admission is free. Individual attractions are priced at $6-$35. 
  • Parking: Free parking available at Oakbrook Center

The immersive experience is best suited for older kids who may have some familiarity with the movies and games incorporated into the entertainment offerings. There is no admission fee and attractions are priced individually, which means you can customize your experience to your family’s preferences each time you visit.

Attraction highlights include an “Uncharted”-themed escape room; VR experiences based on “Ghostbusters” and “Jumanji: Reverse the Curse” and “Zombieland” bumper cars. 

Families can enjoy a meal, desserts and cocktails at the Commissary Restaurant. Grown-ups looking for an exciting date night can enjoy themed cocktails, mocktails and light bites at the Commissary Bar.
