Spider-Man Fans Get Ready for an Epic Chicago Experience

Explore 60+ years of Spider-Man history at MSI’s action-packed exhibit with comics, props, photo ops and more.

Marvel fans will be delighted to check out a new museum exhibit featuring one of the franchise’s superheroes. Opening May 22 at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing – The Exhibition brings more than 60 years of superhero storytelling to life in one epic, web-slinging experience.

From Peter Parker’s first appearance in 1962’s Amazing Fantasy #15 to the multiverse of modern Spider-heroes like Miles Morales and Ghost-Spider, this immersive exhibit is a must for Marvel fans of all ages.

  • Browse original comic art and rare collectibles. See how Spider-Man leapt from comic book pages to the big screen, with incredible artwork from Marvel legends and rare issues that showcase his legacy.
  • See costumes and props from movies and shows. Kids (and grown-ups) can marvel at iconic film props and suits straight from the Spider-Man universe — perfect for fueling superhero daydreams.
  • Take photos with life-size Spider-Man characters. Meet Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Ghost-Spider and more — in the form of stunning statues that are perfect for snapping a heroic family photos.

  • Address: 5700 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago
  • Cost: Not included in general admission. This exhibit requires an additional ticket with a specific time slot. $18-$22 adults, $14 kids ages 3-11, free for kids ages 2 and under.
  • Best for ages: 4 and up — there’s enough hands-on fun, larger-than-life visuals and superhero action to keep little ones engaged, while older kids and teens will appreciate the deeper dive into comic history and movie magic.
