Shedd Aquarium Penguins Meet Belugas on Their Latest Field Trip

Chicago and the rest of the world were already smitten by these penguins waddling around the Shedd Aquarium. Let’s see what they’re up to next.

On their latest field trip, the penguins stopped at the aquarium’s Oceanarium habitat to meet some adorable beluga whales. And who knew these animals were just as curious as to see the penguins as well? See their interaction in the video below.

Fun fact: Belugas are from the Northern Hemisphere and all penguins are native in the Southern Hemisphere. So it’s very unlikely for them to encounter each other in the wild. No wonder they’re so curious to see each other!
