Mold-A-Rama machines have been popping out plastic souvenirs in and around Chicago for more than 50 years. Based in Brookfield, the machines are located at zoos and museums in five states.
The molds are constantly changing, adjusting to new exhibits at the museums or adapting to a new holiday season (check out six Halloween molds this fall at Brookfield Zoo!).
Mold-A-Rama molds can be found in four area museums: the Field Museum, the Museum of Science & Industry, the Lincoln Park Zoo and Brookfield Zoo, with 26 molds ready to be made. Here’s where they are:

Apatosaurus (Green): Entrance to the Africa Exhibit on Firs Floor
Triceratops (Light Blue): Entrance to Evolving Planet

Stegosaurs (White): West End Near Explorer Cafe
F16 Fighter Jet (Silver): Balcony Level Near Red Stairs Adjacent to Flight Simulators
Space Shuttle (White): Lower Level Inside Henry Crown Space Center
Submarine U505 (Grey): Entrance to the U-505 Submarine Exhibit
Tractor (Green): Outside Farm Tech
Train (Black): Main Level Near Red Stairs Behind Great Train Story Exhibit
Baby Chicks (Red): Near Baby Chicks in Genetics Exhibit
