We all know and love that mischievous little monkey, Curious George. But imagine how your kids would feel if they could step into his world right along with him? Well, from now until May 13, your own little monkeys can visit Curious George’s neighborhood at Discovery Center Museum in Rockford!
Not only will kids recognize the familiar characters and places from the beloved books and TV series in this new exhibit, but they’ll also be able to satisfy their own curiosity with science, math and engineering concepts through play. The exhibit is translated into both English and Spanish.
“A Curious George exhibit targeted to children ages 3-7 can augment learning in this critical time period,” said Sarah Wolf, executive director of Discovery Center Museum. “The science and math activities in the exhibit will provide a rich and meaningful context in which these skills can be learned and developed in a fun and engaging way.”
To make your visit even more fun, time it with one of their special programs or story times. Drop by on Thursdays for story time and activities (through May 10). George may even make an appearance! Wear your yellow hat or make one while learning about colors and numbers (April 28). Give Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat one last farewell with games and crafts (May 13). Be sure to check the website for times and prices.
