Looking for some budget-friendly family fun? Then you’ll love the return of this special pop-up from the North Shore’s favorite children’s museum.
Kohl Children’s Museum is hosting its very own satellite museum in Round Lake Beach, and families can experience it for free. Filled with various learning stations for children, the pop-up will open on June 23 at Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center. It will be run on select hours every Tuesday through Saturday through July 24 (except July 4).
The pop-up museum allows families to interact with elements of the Imagination Playground with big soft building blocks, a paleontologist’s tent filled with equipment to help kids explore fossils, an art studio, reading nook and other stations featuring STEM activities. In addition, attendees will receive at-home activities to continue the learning fun.
Due to COVID-19 safety guidelines, face masks are required for all visitors over the age of two. Visitors must register on Eventbrite in advance. Admission is also limited to two groups of nine people per one-hour sessions between 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
