Massive Outdoor Bounce Park Arrives at Two Chicagoland Malls This Summer

Jump for a good cause at FUNBOX, a pop-up bounce park that donates to local foster care agencies.

FUNBOX, the largest bounce house popup in the world, is coming to Fox Valley Mall in Aurora. The bounce park opens May 18 and will remain at the mall through June 18.

Bright, colorful and full of bouncy fun — what kid wouldn’t want to play at a FUNBOX park? The massive inflatable park consists of 10 play zones, including the Mountain Challenge, Battle Beam and Obstacle Course zones for competitive jumpers.

The park also has a Chill Zone for laid-back visitors, and a 23-foot-slide that all jumpers will love to zoom down. The FUNBOX bounce park knows how to create lasting family memories, which is why they donate to local foster care agencies with an emphasis on supporting kids ages 15 and older.

Tips for attending FUNBOX Chicago with kids

  • Purchase tickets online. FUNBOX tickets frequently sell out, so it’s best to buy yours online ahead of time instead of counting on purchasing them at the door.
  • Tickets required for all. Every visitor ages 3-64 must have a ticket, regardless of whether they will be jumping.
  • Arrive early. Each ticket is good for a 90-minute jump session. Plan on arriving 15 minutes before your session begins so you have plenty of time to park, check in and get ready to bounce!
  • Supervision required. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and kids under 5 must be accompanied into the inflatables.
  • Dress appropriately. FUNBOX is an outdoor event. Make sure to wear sunscreen and dress in layers so you can adjust your clothing as you play.
  • Stay hydrated. Bouncing, jumping and sliding for nearly two hours can be tiring! Bring water to stay hydrated, and snacks to refuel after your bounce session. Food and drinks are not allowed in the inflatables.
  • Wear socks. No shoes are allowed in the inflatables, but neither are bare feet. Make sure all the jumpers in your group have a comfy pair of socks to wear — preferably ones with a bit of grip to avoid wipeouts on slippery surfaces. Non-slip socks will be available for purchase.
  • Go cashless. Leave the cash at home. FUNBOX is a cashless attraction, so tickets, non-slip socks and other purchases must be purchased with an alternate form of payment.
