The Chicago Children’s Museum is reaching a year of its pandemic pause at Navy Pier, and families missing out on their time to play can enjoy a new pop-up, just in time for Spring Break.
Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel Chicago has paired with the Chicago Children’s Museum to create a family-friendly play space with extra programming that’s bookable with the staycation this spring. Available March 12-May 31, the Chicago Children’s Museum Experience includes a “Play Anywhere” bag filled with toys and games to play in the guest room as well as private access to the “Business-of-Play Lounge.”
A business lounge at Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel has been converted into a mini-museum with interactive favorites straight from CCM. From the “puffball catapults” that can usually be found in the museum’s great hall, to a large-scale playground that includes areas for climbing, exploring and building a fort city, families can experience some of their favorites from the museum.
Also included in the Business-of Play Lounge is a Zoom Room Test Track that features different textures and multiple cars for racing around the track. Families can also create simple or intricate structures using wooden Kapla blocks, which helps build problem-solving skills.
Booking the experience starts at $229 per night and a portion of the cost will be donated to the Chicago Children’s Museum.
