3 reasons to love Glazed and Infused this fall

Alright, alright, alright! One word — doughnuts. Yeah, that’s right.

Those sweet, ooey gooey pastries that you can enjoy any time of day. When I think of decadent doughnuts, Glazed and Infused tops my list of places in Chicago. See, I’m a bit of a doughnut snob.

While the orchard-type apple cinnamon and pumpkin glazed ones are delish in their own right, I seek more creative concoctions. So, let me break down the three reasons why you absolutely must visit Glazed and Infused ASAP.

Their fall lineup is insane

Carrot Cake: Basically dessert. This carrot cake ring is coated with a vanilla bean glaze and fluffy whipped cream cheese, and topped off with candied shredded carrots and toasted pecans. Talk about decadent! ($3)

Nutella Filled Bismarck: A yeast long john filled with creamy Nutella and drizzled with a vanilla bean glaze and salted hazelnut. It’s so good, it was out of stock! I can’t wait to go back and try this one! ($3)

Peanut Butter and Jelly: A traditional American comfort food that you can enjoy at any age. This yeast doughnut is jam-filled (literally) with homemade raspberry jelly and topped with a crunchy peanut butter glaze. ($3)

Pumpkin Pie Creme Brulee: My favorite hands-down. I could potentially eat five in a row. Is it Crème Brulee or is it a doughnut? It’s a perfect mash-up of pumpkin pie and a burnt sugar crust. ($3)

Pumpkin Spice Latte Old Fashioned: A simple twist on a classic. This old-fashioned doughnut is dipped in creamy pumpkin-caramel glaze and topped with toasted pumpkin seed brittle. Dunk it in your coffee. It’s perfection! ($3)

Glazed and Infused also recently launched a “Thirsty Thursday” promotion with their rosé-infused doughnut so that everyone can slay and #roseallday. I cannot wait to try this one out. I also cannot wait to stop in next week for their Halloween specials. Check out their Instagram page (@goglazed) to stay informed of their latest specials.

Location, location, location

With five Chicago locations, they’ve got you covered from the West Loop all the way north to Lincoln Park. Can’t make it to one of their locations, don’t fret; they deliver.

The people and service

The one thing I notice right away is the attentiveness of the Glazed and Infused staff. From the hearty and warm greeting to being handed your receipt, you always get someone who seems to actually enjoy the work they are doing. It might be the laid back atmosphere and family-friendly feel, but the recipe to the greatness of this place is their people. Good, genuine people.
