Jellystone Park Camp-Resort Offers Recreation for the Entire Family!

Looking for family fun you don’t have to plan? Jellystone Park Camp-Resort offers games, theme weekends and activities for every age group. The recreation manager gives us all the details.

If you’re planning a family vacay, you might be thinking about the activities you have to organize once you get to your destination. This is especially true if you’ve got kids of all ages. How do you entertain everyone?

Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Caledonia, Wisconsin takes pride in offering planned activities that cater to all age groups. “Kids and parents should enjoy their vacation,” says Megan Aust, Jellystone’s recreation manager. “When you stay with us, you can focus on having fun. You don’t have to plan a thing. Our rec team does all that for you.”

Even better, Jellystone Park Camp-Resort is a short drive from the Chicago area so you don’t have to go far to escape into a great family getaway. “You can come for the day and visit our neighboring property, Bear Paw Adventure Park, or stay for a while. Jellystone Park has flexible packages for you to choose from,” says Aust.

Theme WEEKends enhance the resort’s fun atmosphere

Each Theme WEEKend  offers a unique and immersive experience. “Our guests get excited about Theme WEEKends. Many guests wait to find out what our themes are going to be before they book their stay,” Aust says. “We have guests who return every year for their favorites.”

This year, Aust and her team created a new event inspired by Jellystone Park’s popular Halloween themes. For the first time, Spring-o-ween Weekend promises Halloween-style festivities with a spring twist. This brand-new event runs from May 3-5. You and the kids can enjoy trick-or-treating, spring-themed costumes and seasonal decor.

Don’t wait to book your stay for Jellystone Park’s super-popular Christmas in July weekend that transforms the camp into a winter wonderland. Guests can expect visits from Santa Claus, snow play and festive decorations.

Jellystone Park Camp-Resort Theme WEEKends offer something for everyone. Highlights include Field Day Fiesta which takes inspiration from a middle school field day celebration. Cindy Bear’s Sweet Tooth event is a chocoholic’s dream with chocolate treats galore. Guardians of Good, from April 26-28, celebrates superheroes and honors everyday heroic individuals with Yogi Bear leading the party.

Character experiences: making memories

Jellystone Park takes character experiences to a whole new level. “We want to give everyone a chance to interact with our beloved characters like Yogi Bear and Cindy Bear,” says Aust.

The Wake Up and Tuck In with the bears activities  are a hit among families. Each morning, campers wake up the bears, complete with teeth brushing, hair combing and humorous stretches. In the evenings, the kids tuck the bears into bed with bedtime stories.

“One of our most popular character experiences for all ages is Donuts with Cindy Bear,” says Aust. For good reason: each participant gets a warm, freshly-made donut to decorate and eat. Plus, kids can enjoy some silly fun during Bubbles with Boo Boo™ or pretend to be pirates and mermaids during a special scavenger hunt with Yogi Bear.

Bear Paw Adventure Park and Yogi Bear’s Water Zone

Bordering the campgrounds is Bear Paw Adventure Park, a hub of fun in the warm summer months. Bear Paw features the popular Adventure Island floating obstacle course, a family-friendly ropes course, Pirate Cannons and more.

Guests at the Jellystone Park Camp-Resort will enjoy special discounts at Bear Paw; non-campers can visit for the day with a range of pricing.

If you are entertaining younger kids, the campground’s Yogi Bear’s Water Zone is another place to have cool family fun. Here you’ll find water slides, sprayers and two pools. Yogi Bear’s  Picnic Splash Activity Area is a charming spot for littles to splash and play.

Birthday parties and unique all-ages activities

Celebrate your child’s birthday or special occasion with one of Jellystone Park’s party packages. Depending on the package you choose, your campsite may even receive a special visit from Yogi Bear. You can also choose add-ons like character plush toys, game room gift cards, special decorations and birthday party swag.

It doesn’t have to be your birthday to enjoy plenty of fun at Jellystone Park, however. “During our peak season, we offer at least 10 planned activities a day,” Aust says.

Families can enjoy an array of physical games like Human Hungry Hippos. Or, spend some quiet time making arts and crafts. Bingo, Dynamic DJ Glow Parties and a seasonal drone show bring all ages together. Other family draws are the Hot Dog Lunches, Ice Cream Socials and the ever-popular outdoor movie theater.

New this year: activities slated just for teens. “Whether it’s a pool party, board games, or crafting, the goal is to provide teenagers with their own space to socialize and have fun,” says Aust.

Jellystone Park Camp-Resort is committed to enhancing and expanding its offerings for all ages, says Aust. “We are not just a camp or a resort; we offer an ever-evolving experience for families.”
