Now Is the Time to Try a Dine-In Movie at Star Cinema Grill South Barrington

OUT: old-school movies and popcorn. IN: a dine-in movie experience at Star Cinema Grill! Seriously, get there now.

The burnout factor of staying home is real — especially for families who are ready to start enjoying immersive experiences again. Ready to leave streaming movies and your living room behind for a real big-screen experience? Don’t go to a typical theater when you can try a “dine-in” movie instead at Star Cinema Grill in South Barrington.

Opening June 27, 2022, Star Cinema Grill in South Barrington is the latest dine-in movie theater to join Chicagoland and it’s a perfect complement to the summer blockbuster movie lineup, says Jason Ostrow, Vice President at Star Cinema Grill, a Houston-based new concept in movie theater entertainment. The South Barrington location joins Star Cinema Grill in Bolingbrook and Hollywood Palms Cinema in Naperville — both of which offer a dine-in movie experience.

Your whole family will love the eight different auditoriums at Star Cinema Grill South Barrington, each with 100% heated reclining seats, plus “premium pod” seating that creates a more private, upgraded experience with complimentary popcorn, blanket and priority service. You can reserve your seats in advance on the Star Cinema Grill website or convenient smartphone app.

The best part about a dine-in movie is the food!

Now that you’re comfortable, it’s time for the best part: the food. Scan the QR code at your seat and access the specialized high-end menu. In addition to appetizers, desserts, kids’ meals, beverages and all the typical movie theater faves, you can choose an entree that’s even better than you’d expect.

“There’s so much variety on our menu and everything I have tasted I have loved,” Ostrow says, adding that each time he visits, he orders five or six menu items to sample. “I’m really loving the seared tuna right now, but our poke bowls, hummus and veggies, and burgers are really good. The list goes on and on.” Of course, your favorite finger foods like cheese sticks, chicken fingers, pizza and nachos are all there — and all delicious. Make your experience special with a craft beer or glass of wine, or try a premium cocktail.

Press the button at your seat and a server will appear to take your order on a handheld device, just one of the ways Star Cinema Grill is elevating the entertainment experience through technology.

“We focus constantly on the front edge of technology and new, innovative ways to make our guest experience seamless,” Ostrow explains. “Through our push button system, we know how long guests have been waiting, and we know that through the use of hand-held devices, for many customers, once they have made their food order, their drinks are already arriving.”

From the ease of seat selection to ticket purchase to the highest levels of hospitality, Star Cinema Grill is working to own the dine-in movie market in Chicagoland. “All of these elements from top to bottom differentiate us from others,” Ostrow says. “No other theater offers the same level of detail to everything from hospitality to food and beverage.”

Your great experience at Star Cinema Grill is by design because a safe and comfortable environment is at the top of their priority list. Discover how they make this happen by reading the house rules and age policies.

For date night, time out with friends, a family treat, special occasion or just to brush off the tedium of streaming movies at home, Star Cinema is worth a visit, but be warned: you may never want to stream another movie at home.

“Please come and see a movie and find out how really enjoyable it can be at Star Cinema Grill,” Ostrow says.
