Disability Pride Parade

The 14th annual Disability Pride Parade, themed “Love is Disability Pride,” kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 401 S. Plymouth Court and goes west on Van Buren to Dearborn Street, then north to Daley Plaza. A post-parade celebration takes place on Daley Plaza at 12:30 p.m.

An Open Mic/Poetry Slam will be held 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 21, at First United Methodist Church of Chicago, 77 W. Washington St. The event features Performing for Change, a small performing arts company of 90 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They will perform selections from the Wizard of Oz.
