2 new Northbrook Court spots to help beat the winter blues

Remember when the mall was the place to go out and hang with your friends? Now, as a parent, the amenities of a mall have completely changed for me. There needs to be something for mama and something for the kiddos. That’s why Northbrook Court is an excellent choice as a family-friendly mall—there are some great stores for parents and even better—they’ve recently added these two play options for kids.

Northbrook Play

This free play place is the perfect refuge to get in some play in between power shopping and snacks. Including a recharging station for adults and nursing sanctuary for breastfeeding moms, Northbrook Play provides an engaging kid-friendly environment designed by Chicago Children’s Museum. There’s something for every age including a comfy nest for pre-walkers to explore their senses, places to climb and play dress up, and even a family selfie station. Want to explore even further? Sign up for one of the Noggin Builders learning sessions for ages 2 and up.

Hi-Five Sports Club

This place truly helps build character and skills for your kids! The Hi-Five Sports Camp was founded in 1990 and has made its mark on the North Shore ever since. This family-forged business is ingrained in Chicago culture just as much as deep dish and hot dogs is to our area. Today, there are 17 franchised locations spanning the U.S. with its newest location at Northbrook Court. From pre-school classes to leagues, camps, and birthday events, Hi-Five caters to toddlers ages all the way to middle schoolers. Take part in soccer, basketball, football and more. Prices vary based on desired engagement.

Don’t forget that Northbrook Court also features a giant treehouse playground in the center of the mall. Complete with tunnels, slides and more, this sweet spot also provides plentiful seating for parents to sit patiently while their kids run amuck. It’s conveniently located near the AMC Theater and Starbucks (they planned that on purpose, didn’t they?)
