City
Egg Hunt (North Side)
When: April 3
Where: Rosedale Park, 6312 W. Rosedale Ave., Chicago
Egg hunters ages 2-5 can track down eggs throughout the park. There will also be crafts and inflatables to enjoy.
Egg Hunt (Southwest Side)
When: April 4
Where: West Lawn Park, 4233 W. 65th St., Chicago
Enjoy a fun-filled egg hunt in the West Lawn neighborhood. Recommended for ages 3-11.
Egg Hunt (South Side)
When: April 11
Where: Brainerd Park, 1246 W. 92nd St., Chicago
Bring the entire family for an egg hunt, arts and crafts, games and more. Recommended for ages 1-12.
North/Northwest Suburbs
Long Grove Egg Hunt
When: April 4
Where: Intersection of Route 83 and Long Grove Road, Long Grove
Kids of all ages will love the challenge courses at Buffalo Creek Park dotted with hundreds of colored eggs, plus dancing, a petting zoo, craft tables and tractor rides. Big Bunny will be on hand. All kids taking part in the hunt get a goodie bag and photo.
Lincolnwood Egg Hunt
When: April 4
Where: Lincolnwood Parks & Recreation, 6900 N. Lincoln Ave., Lincolnwood
Kids 2-11 will love to see the Easter Bunny arrive by fire engine, and then have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the bunny, plus an egg hunt.
Egg Hunt (Highland Park)
When: April 11
Where: Sunset Woods Park, 1801 Sunset Road, Highland Park
Gather colorful eggs filled with toys and fun surprises. Turn in redemption certificates at DJ booth, must be present to win. Be sure to keep an eye out for a special guest.
South Suburbs
Flossmoor Lucky Egg Hunt (Homewood)
When: April 4
Where: Irwin Community Center, 18120 S. Highland Ave., Homewood
As the sirens sound on the Homewood Fire Truck, a special guest will arrive to start the egg hunt for kids 6 and under. Bring your basket to collect eggs. Try to find the Lucky Eggs that give you an extra prize. Pictures with the bunny will be available after the hunt. After the hunt, a 10:30 a.m. Lucky Dog Egg Hunt will take place.
Egg Hunt with Peter Cottontail (Frankfort)
When: April 4
Where: Commissioners Park, 22108 S. 80th Ave, Frankfort
Grab a basket for the annual Egg Hunt. Peter Cottontail will be present for photos. Recommended for ages 1-8.
Egg-A-Palooza Egg Hunt (Palos Heights)
When: April 4
Where: Meyers Park, 6601 W. 127th St., Palos Heights
Scramble for eggs filled with treasures. Bring a basket or bag and a camera to take some pictures with the Bunny. Hunters will be separated by age group.
Western Suburbs
Easter Egg-Stravaganza Egg Hunt (River Forest)
When: April 4
Where: Keystone Park West, Lake Street and Keystone Avenue, River Forest
Children ages 2-10 will be divided into groups according to age and will hunt for hundreds of candy- and sticker-filled eggs. Children should also be on the look-out for special hidden eggs that are redeemable for prize baskets.
Egg Hunt on the Island (Aurora)
When: April 4
Where: Stolp Island, Fox River, Aurora
All ages are invited to the family-friendly event that has multiple egg drops and a scavenger hunt in downtown Aurora. Includes crafts, snacks, and trolley rides.
Wilder Park Easter Egg Hunt & Doggie Eggstravaganza (Elmhurst)
When: April 11
Where: Wilder Park, 175 S. Prospect Ave., Elmhurst
Kids 1-10 can hunt for eggs and visit with the Easter Bunny. Bring your camera and a basket. Easter egg hunt for dogs begins at 10:30 a.m. Dogs must be leashed, wearing current rabies tags, and accompanied by an adult 16 years or older. Prizes will be awarded for best pup in costume.
