The ultimate toys guide for kids with special needs

Toys “R” Us has published a new guide for buying toys for kids with disabilities.

The free guide is available in Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us stores, as well as online. The toy guide offers recommendations based on research from the National Lekotek Center, a non-profit organization based in Chicago that handpicks and tests the toys featured in the guide.

The toy guide also includes lists of questions parents should ask when buying a toy geared towards their child’s individual needs, as well as a directory with toys broken out by the skills they promote in areas such as auditory, language, social skills and creativity.
