If you’re planning on staying home for spring break, but still want your kids to have a good time, then check out these camps in Chicagoland.

Every child has different hobbies and interests, so you can find a camp that best fits them personally. You must register ahead of time for the spring break camps. They’re filling up fast so make sure to do it as soon as possible!

Spring Break Art Camp at Riverside Arts Center

March 27-31, 2023

Each day, ages 5-plus will explore a wide variety of projects in materials such as clay, fibers, collage, sculpture, paint, chalk, mosaics and more. They’ll be grouped by age levels and will be encouraged to think outside the box and be creative!

Spring Break Mini-Camp at Naper Settlement

March 27, 29-30, 2023

Children in grades 1-6 can enjoy a camp where they will explore historic houses, play games, make crafts and more.

Spring Break Explorers Camp at Museum of Science + Industry, Chicago

March 28-30, 2023 or April 4-6, 2023

This camp is for middle schoolers (grades 5-8). They will explore the museum, watch movies and more. The camp fee includes lunches, snacks and all materials and equipment.

School Day Off Camp at Kids Clay Room

March 29, 2023

This drop-off camp is for children ages 5 and up. They will use pinch, coil and slab techniques along with the molds to create and paint projects.

Brick Art and Design Lab at Hayes Building Lake View

April 3-7, 2023

For ages 5-14. Children will be interpreting the works of art they learn about using Lego bricks. This interactive art history class will teach campers about Mona Lisa, Starry Night, Falling Water and more.

Fab Lab Spring Break Camp at Museum of Science + Industry, Chicago

April 3-7, 2023

Children in grades 5-9 can enjoy a spring break camp where they will utilize the Make_X Grid and Belt Board system. The camp fee includes lunches, snacks and all materials and equipment.

Junior Scientists: All About Animals at Hayes Building Lake View

April 3-7, 2023

For ages 4-6. Children will construct their way through the frog and butterfly cycles, examine differences and similarities between insects and arachnids and build reptiles using Kid K’NEX pieces.

Movie Making – Superheroes at Hayes Building Lake View

April 3-7, 2023

For ages 7-14. Children will create their own superhero movie using Lego bricks and stop motion animation. At the end of the program, campers will share their movie with everyone and upload it to Snapology’s YouTube account.

Movie Making – Superheroes & Brick Art and Design Lab at Hayes Building Lake View

April 3-7, 2023

For ages 7-14. This camp is a mixture of interactive art history and movie making, both using Lego bricks. At the end of the program, campers will share their movie with everyone and upload it to Snapology’s YouTube account.

Spring Break 3-Day Climbing Camp at Lemont Quarries

April 3-5, 2023

Ages 7-16 can enjoy the high and low ropes course, knot tying and belay classes, relay races and competitions and more. There will be an “Olympic Day” on the last day where campers will use all the skills they were taught.

Spring Break Camp at Chicago Botanic Garden

April 3-7, 2023

Every day offers a new theme for the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Spring Break Camp. April 3 is Signs of Spring, April 4 is Greenhouses and Gardens, April 5 is A Walk in the Woods, April 6 is Seed Science and April 7 is Outdoor Adventure.
