My Mantra: Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming

Lauren O’Shields, from Park Ridge, shares, “My husband and I both work full time. When we had our twins, there were days and nights I thought I wouldn’t make it, but I did. When both kids were screaming their heads off with a waterfall of needs, I just kept moving – bottle, diaper, new onesie, paci – just keep swimming. They’re 4 now, but just the other day, when my daughter broke another ornament, my son threw himself on the ground because his popsicle wasn’t frozen yet and my mother in law sent repeated messages asking what to get my Mom for Christmas, I turned to my husband and muttered, ‘just keep swimming.'”
