Studies show that kids who started learning to ride on balance bikes began pedaling independently earlier than kids who started on pedal bikes with training wheels. This balance bike, which can be used from 18 months to 5 years old, is lightweight and low-tech which makes it ideal for learning balance and bike handling skills; $140.
