Ooh la la! Vanille hosts free monthly kids concerts

Here’s a quiz for you. Have you recently:

Been wearing yoga pants for too many days in a row?

Become bored with the regular afternoon snacks you’ve been serving?

Been working too hard and need a break?

Just need a little break in general?

Wanted desserts in the middle of the day?

If you answered “yes” to any of the questions above (read as: you’re a parent and/or human), do I have the mini solution for you!

Over the next few months, the Lakeview and Lincoln Park locations of Vanille are hosting kids concerts at their locations in conjunction with Bubbles Academy. These concerts are aimed at the littlest littles, ages 5 and under and will feature Bubbles Academy favorites such as Miss Lauren playing kids’ favorite tunes.

If you’re somehow not familiar with Vanille, it is a delightful French-inspired pâtisserie, specializing in handmade desserts and classic French macarons.* Stepping into a Vanille location makes you feel temporarily transported to a different time and place where you are much more chic and relaxed than you probably actually are. It’s lucky that your kids will adore this place as well because, again, treats and free kids concerts. You can sip tea or coffee and feel sophisticated and your little ones can munch cookies and be entertained. (Please feel free to also munch cookies. Please, please, please feel free to do that.)

The concerts start at 3:30 p.m. and the dates and locations are:

Lakeview – 3243 N. Broadway, Chicago

October 12

November 19

December 14

Lincoln Park – 2108 N. Clark St. Chicago

September 21

October 19

November 16

December 21

*I feel I will be remiss if I don’t actually say (type?) this out loud. There is a difference between macarons and macaroons. Macarons (pronounced mac-a-ROHN) are those delicate sandwich cookies and macaroons (pronounced mac-a-ROON) are coconut cookies, often with the bottoms dipped in chocolate. Alright. I feel better now.
