A variety of programs and changing exhibits geared toward nature enthusiasts are on display. Visitors can drop in the exploration station, check out nature kits and backpack guides, enjoy the 6.5 miles of trails, hike to the Fox River, fish in the one acre pond and enjoy a picnic under the shelter. A resource library and examples of backyard native landscaping are also on site.
Days/Hours: Grounds sunrise-sunset. Building 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday; 1-5 p.m. Sunday April-October. November-March: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday; noon-4 p.m. Sunday. Closed holidays.
