Peek into a tank full of turtles, touch a fossil, learn about pioneer and Native American life. The 143-acre grounds have wetland, woodland and prairie areas. Discover the past at the Kennicott House and visit the log cabin, longhouse and schoolhouse to learn how pioneers lived.

The 145-acre grounds have wetland, woodland and prairie areas. Tour the restored 1856 Kennicott House built by Dr. John Kennicott, the log cabin, longhouse and schoolhouse with costumed guides.

Days/Hours: Interpretive Center: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and weekends, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Kennicott House and Archives: Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Admission: Free. Some programs and special events cost extra.
