This free garden show is magical

Mother Nature gets a little boost in the Garfield Park Conservatory’s spring show.

Spring Show

Through May 8

Garfield Park Conservatory

300 N. Central Park Ave., Chicago

For those unfamiliar with Luftwerk, the company known for melding light and sculpture to create incredible art installations, the conservatory’s stunning setting will be an eye-popping primer.

Entitled “colorise,” the show uses LED lights, specially chosen botanicals and a Florescence ceiling to create a garden unlike any you’ve ever strolled through. This show–as well as every other aspect of the beautiful conservatory–is absolutely free.

Even better? Families will be able to download (or buy in the gift shop) colorise-inspired coloring books, just perfect for re-creating the spring show’s glory at home.
